Cast iron pot use and maintenance

1. When using a cast iron enameled pot on natural gas, do not let the fire exceed the pot. Because the pot body is made of cast iron, it has a strong heat storage efficiency, and the ideal cooking effect can be achieved without a large fire when cooking. Cooking with a high flame not only wastes energy, but also causes excessive oil smoke and damage to the outer wall of the corresponding enamel pot.

2. When cooking, heat the pot first, and then put the food. Since the cast iron material is heated evenly, when the bottom of the pot is heated, lower the heat and cook on a low heat.

3. The cast iron pot can not be left empty for a long time, and the high temperature cast iron pot should not be washed with cold water, so as not to cause rapid temperature changes, causing the coating to fall off and affecting the service life.

4. Clean the enamel pot after natural cooling, the pot body is better clean, if you encounter stubborn stains, you can soak it first, and then use a bamboo brush, soft cloth, sponge and other cleaning tools. Do not use stainless steel scrapers and wire brushes with hard and sharp instruments. It is better to use wooden spoons or silicone spoons to avoid damaging the enamel layer.

5. If there is scorch during use, soak it in warm water for half an hour and wipe it off with a rag or sponge.

6. Do not soak the cast iron pot in water for a long time. After cleaning, apply a layer of oil immediately. The cast iron pot oil maintained in this way is black and bright, easy to use, non-stick, and not easy to rust.
